Etaname

I grew up listening to this folk song performed by various artists native to Guyana and Jamaica. The lyrics are sad, even sinister, but the music is cheerful and the rhythm even catchy. This song summarizes who Etaname is because of what he does. There is not any established backstory to him, where he originated, nor why he is the Drowner of Men, so in this series, similar to most DC comic characters, so I take the liberty of creating my own in this series.
